Presidency of SD: We will form a parliamentary group, a government made up of those who are unequivocally committed to EU and NATO values

The Social Democrats will, in the Parliament of Montenegro, form a parliamentary club with three deputies who will adequately represent social democratic ideas in Montenegro, it was concluded at the Presidency of the Social Democrats held yesterday.
That party announced that, taking into account numerous serious internal challenges, as well as the circumstances on the international scene, Montenegro needs a clear European and Euro-Atlantic government whose constituents should only be those political subjects who are unequivocally committed to the values of the EU and NATO alliance.
Everything else would lead Montenegro to further decline on the path of EU integration and essentially move away from Montenegro's membership in the EU. There is no compromise with those who glorify war criminals, equate fascism and anti-fascism, rehabilitate retrograde phenomena in the past, relativize the genocide in Srebrenica, clearly do not call Russia's behavior towards Ukraine aggression, represent the political wing of Russian influence in Montenegro and the like - they state in the announcement.
The Presidency of the Social Democrats highlighted the following priorities that should be before Montenegro: membership in the EU, strengthening the credibility of NATO, improving the standard of living of citizens and protecting socially vulnerable categories, and preserving and strengthening the fundamental values of a progressive and self-aware Montenegro, namely its civic, secular and anti-fascist character.
