The president of the Social Democratic Party, Raško Konjević, will retire from the position of the first man of the party, but also from active politics, the media announced today.
According to information from Pobjeda, Konjević made the decision to retire a month ago when he informed his closest party associates that, after 15 years, he wanted to leave politics immediately after the extraordinary parliamentary elections on June 11.
It was then agreed that Konjević would not be the holder of the SDP list in the extraordinary elections, nor would he be a candidate for that party's deputy in the event of a joint appearance with DPS, SD, LP and DUA.
According to Pobjeda's information, Konjević made the decision primarily for private reasons.
