Rakočević: DPS will not participate in the simulation of democracy

The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) initiated a conversation with Prime Minister Milojka Spajić to address the issue of the forced administration in Savnik. However, the meeting did not occur.

He believes that it would be good for the conversation with the Prime Minister, however, he says, as he says, the total state of democracy in Montenegro, as well as due to the government and opposition dialogue.

Especially in the part of the election reform, which is very important because of the obligations that Montenegro has towards Ibar, ie our European path, as well as stabilize the opportunities in Montenegro. In DPS, we are not a seated arms. At the same time, the rule of law, meeting the obligations from Chapter 23 and 24 are key preconditions for obtaining Ibar. Imagine a state that cannot conduct elections in one municipality! Rakočević says that the citizens of the Savnik, who decide who will manage the city in which they live, should trust the law and the Constitution of the state of Montenegro.

The law is clear. The elections must be carried out. The parliamentary majority at the national level consists of half of the members of the Municipal Election Commission in Savnik, and without their votes, elections on two polling stations cannot be repeated. Why are the elections repeat at all? Because the same people broke the polling boxes because they realized that the elections are lost. And now they do not want to elice the repeat, although the State Election Commission, which has elected the parliamentary majority, ie government, sent 120 suggestions to the Municipal Election Commission to reset to two polling stations. Instead, through their representatives in the government, unconstitutionally and illegally send the Commissioner to take over power without elections - reminds Rakočević.

He assessed that the entire situation in Savnik can be negatively affected, not only to that municipality, but also on the issue of democracy in Montenegro.

This is long overcome by the municipality of Savnik, a long time ago, the Democratic Party of Socialists and any other political party. Here he is trying to test the small door whether it is possible to introduce anarchy in Montenegro. DPS will not participate in that. We will try institially and vaninstitutically to do everything and defend the rule of law and state interests of Montenegro. Speaking of what they expect from answering the questions that deputies at the missionary clock can set ministers, Rakočević says that the next two weeks as many as ten ministers will not be in the state.

The opposition is there, as he adds, to try, to the extent possible, to resist this and keep Montenegro on the European track.
