Reported threat to the safety of psychologist Petar Marković

For days, psychologist Petar Marković has been exposed to public condemnations and derogatory comments about his visual identity, professional attitudes and personal characteristics, and such inappropriate behavior has intensified in recent days after his appearance on certain TV stations, according to the NGO Sistem of which Marković is a member.
On this occasion, the NGO System addressed the public, our competent institutions, and international partners.
They note that inappropriate behavior, insults and ridicule have gone so far that individuals are calling for both media and physical lynching, which results in Marković's safety being threatened.
In that organization, they point out that it is particularly worrying that individuals, recognized in the virtual and real world as problematic and with a large number of like-minded people, are the ones who publicly call for a "reckoning", which, as they say, publicly draws a target for him and endangers security, but also physically , personal and professional integrity.
Master psychologist and gestalt psychotherapist Petar Marković is a doctoral student at the Faculty of Media and Communications, majoring in Transdisciplinary Humanities and Theory of Art and Media, while he has been working in the youth counseling center at the Bar Health Center for a long time. He is a participant in numerous seminars and the author of workshops and project activities aimed at raising awareness of the importance of mental health.
He is a great lover of art, and has tried his hand as a writer and art model. He is a member of our NGO and an expert associate for mental health - say the NGO Sistem.
In that organization, since its foundation, they have advocated for the respect of basic human rights guaranteed by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
They remind that the Constitution of Montenegro guarantees the protection of human rights and freedoms (Article 6), prohibits discrimination on any basis (Article 8) and guarantees gender equality and equality (Articles 17 and 18).
Therefore, we remind the public once again that any form of discrimination is a criminal offense punishable by the Criminal Code of Montenegro, and we expect that the professional public will stop being silent and turn a blind eye to these and similar events, and that we will raise our voices and finally stop dealing with the treatment of the consequences, already to devote ourselves to the causes and prevention of all forms of violence to which we are exposed every day" - say the NGO Spas.
