Second round of talks most likely on Friday

The second round of talks between the President of the Assembly Danijela Đurović and the representatives of the parliamentary parties will most likely be held on Friday, said Nikola Rakočević, deputy of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS).
At a press conference in the Parliament, he was asked if the DPS would vote for the judges of the Constitutional Court, and he replied that the process was conducted in a non-transparent manner and that it was not in accordance with the Constitution.
"This means that you must first gather in a composition of at least three-fifths to discuss the candidates in the shortlist, which must be approved by the Constitutional Committee. That was not done," said Rakočević.
He said that "41 barely assembled deputies" agreed on the proposal of four candidates for judges, which was adopted by the committee and sent to the plenum.
As he stated, whether there will be a solution in a short period of time, that is, at the next vote, or whether it will be after a new invitation is announced, depends on the negotiations.
"It seems to me that what will happen is on Friday, so the second round of talks initiated by the president of the parliament," Rakočević said.
When asked if the President of Montenegro and DPS leader Milo Đukanović would come to the negotiations, he replied that Đukanović did not attend the first meeting solely because he was officially absent.
According to Rakočević, the meeting was co-attended by the vice-president of the party, Ivan Vuković, who has the credibility, weight and relevance to represent all the positions of that party, as well as Đukanović.
"I don't have that information about whether the president of the party will be at the next meeting, but I believe there are no obstacles. I expect, if he has no commitments, that he will be at that meeting in person," Rakočević said.
When asked whether Đukanović will attend the citizens' protest "Ima nas" scheduled for Thursday, he replied that he wants to send a clear message to those protests that undermining the constitutional order is the same as working against the state.
"When you work, knowing that you are trampling on the constitution, then loyal citizens must gather. As for the president, we saw that he publicly declared himself and supported the protests," Rakočević said.
He said that Đukanović could not attend those protests because he was on an official visit outside the country.
"I don't know if he will be in the country at the next protest. I don't know if he will be at the protest either, but I know for sure that he supports him, so I see no reason why he should not appear," Rakočević said.
When asked if they feel responsible for the accusations that the DPS instructed people to move to Šavnik ahead of the local elections, he said that it is tragic that the political structure, which is doing everything to destroy social, state and civil harmony, is trying to postpone the final results by obstruction .
Rakočević stated that, when it comes to possible rewrites, he believes that everything was done in accordance with the law.
"If you ask about my political position, then I can claim that all those who are registered in Šavnik are actually registered by the Democratic Front (DF) in order not to try to catch up, but it would be irresponsible to claim that," Rakočević said. .
He said that the elections in Savnik should be completed in accordance with the law, as in all other cities.
