Spinning (non) eyewitnesses about the "attack" on Milatović

A group of citizens gathered yesterday in Cetinje ahead of the promotion of the presidential candidate of the "Europe Now" Movement, Jakov Milatović, in that city, in order to express a protest about his role during the violent enthronement of Metropolitan Joaniki of the Church of Serbia in Cetinje, on September 5, 2021.
Those gathered in front of the Sports Center building, where a pre-election convention was later held in front of about 40 Milatović's supporters, among whom there were only a dozen from Cetinje, carried banners with the message: "For you is contempt, not the position of president." Svetosavska slugo!", "So what if 10 Montenegrins die in Cetinje. September 5, 2021 - Jadov Milatović" and "Jadov and Dodik are now dead from Cetinje!".
During Milatović's arrival at the election convention in the Sports Center building, an incident occurred, during which, while Milatović and his security guard were passing through the police barricade, the gathered citizens pushed and kicked with members of the police.
Milatović was greeted with whistles and protests from dozens of people from Cetinje. As can be seen in the video of Pobjeda, published on our portal, during the passage through the police barricade, a member of Milatović's security tripped and almost knocked down the presidential candidate whom he had hugged just before. That was Milatović's only physical contact with anyone, during the entry into the Sports Center building in Cetinje.
Despite the fact that the event was attended by representatives of only two Montenegrin media, Pobjeda and RTV Cetinje - none of which reported that there was an "attack" and "violence" - politicians and some non-governmental organizations, supported by media "reports" of journalists who were kilometers away from the scene, after the event they raced to report and condemn precisely the "attacks" and "violence" against Milatović.
Among the first to react was Milatović's party friend and unsuspecting presidential candidate Milojko Spajić, who said on Twitter that "tonight's attack on Jakov Milatović was organized by the captain of the sinking DPS ship!".
DPS spokesman and deputy Miloš Nikolić said that in that party they understand the anger of the citizens of the capital, but also that they emphasize that "violence is not the solution" in any situation, and called on everyone to express their political views non-violently and where it should be done - at the polls on March 19.
Numerous reactions followed, from the prime minister in technical mandate, Dritan Abazović, through absolutely all parties that figure on the Montenegrin political scene, in which the Democratic Front went the farthest, even inventing that Milatović was "physically attacked".
In the party reactions, the closest to the truth was actually "Evopa sad" itself, which stated in the statement that it was about "verbal provocations".
Instructed verbal provocations, which a small group resorted to in Cetinje tonight, during the visit of the future president Jakov Milatović, are a reflection of the impotence of the clients to stop their absolute loss of power - it was announced from "Europe Now".
The spin of (non) eyewitnesses was not helped even by the correct statement of the Police Administration, which stated the same as Pobjeda journalists who were on the spot - that there was a crowd push in Cetinje.
Tonight, on the eve of the presidential candidate Jakov Milatović's promotional rally in Cetinje, about 50 gathered citizens tried to prevent him from entering the building where the rally was supposed to be held. On that occasion, there was a push by the crowd, and the police prevented more serious consequences and made it possible for the rally to take place - reported the police.
They stated that the material from the video surveillance will be reviewed, and that "the possible existence of criminal or misdemeanor liability of the person will be assessed".
If we wanted to ban Milatović from entering, he wouldn't even have entered Cetinje
On the occasion of the event in front of the Sports Center, the Cetinje Citizens' Group announced that in certain circles, presidential candidate Milatović wants to present himself as a victim with an upside-down interpretation.
We owe it to the public to point out that we did not come in front of Milatović's house to block his entrance. We came with a peaceful, non-violent protest to be seen and counted by the one who, for the sake of the interests of another country, wanted to sacrifice ten Montenegrins a year and a half ago without remorse. And now the same person would like to promote himself in our city as a candidate for the president of the state - it is stated in the response.
The people of Cetinje say that the absence of a reaction to such an "unsocially provocative act" would be unacceptable for them.
That's why we gathered to protest. And if we wanted to ban him from entering, he wouldn't even enter Cetinje, let alone the Sports Center - unless Filip Adžić would arrange for him to land on the roof of the Sports Center with a helicopter, the way Joanikije Nedostojni flew a year and a half ago. At the end, we ask our former fellow citizen, Vučić's minister Adžić, whether he will prosecute criminals and security-interesting persons from Milatović's entourage - said the citizens of Cetinje.
