The Court of Appeal rejected the appeal, Rade Milošević remains in custody

The Appellate Court of Montenegro rejected as unfounded the appeal of the defense counsel of the defendant Rad Milošević, filed against the decision of the High Court in Podgorica on the extension of custody from January 20, 2023.
This decision was made by the panel of the Appellate Court of Montenegro at the panel session held today.
By the decision of the Higher Court in Podgorica, the custody of the defendant Rado Milošević was extended for another two months due to the well-founded suspicion that he committed a criminal offense - the creation of a criminal organization.
The higher court in Podgorica extended the detention of the defendant Milošević on the grounds of detention due to the existence of circumstances that indicate a risk of escape and that the defendant could interfere with the proceedings by influencing the witnesses. According to the aforementioned decision of the High Court, detention can last until March 21, 2023. years.
