The Day of the Capital was celebrated

The 13th of November - Capital Day - was marked today with the ceremonial session of the Cetinje Parliament in the Government House.
The capital announced that the ceremonial session was held in the presence of a large number of state dignitaries, the diplomatic corps and representatives of the sister cities of Cetinje and other cities and municipalities from Montenegro.
The mayor of Prijestonica, Nikola Đurašković, pointed out that today they proudly celebrate and mark November 13, a date that is important not only for the people of Cetinje, but for all people who have Montenegro in their hearts.
"The glorious history and centuries-old struggle for freedom and justice determined Cetinje and the people of Cetinje even in the moments when they rejected weapons and aggression against fraternal and neighboring nations," said Đurašković.
He said that the strongest anti-war campaign against the unjust destruction of cities and states and the destruction of human lives was launched from that city in the 1990s.
"Similarly today, when the friendly Ukrainian people suffer aggression, when our twin city of Kharkiv is buried in ruins, the citizens of Cetinje stood up on their own initiative and sent a message against the war and the destruction of Ukraine, stronger than any other city in Europe and the world," stated Đurašković.
As he said, these events are just as important as the libertarian ones from difficult battles and wars, which adorn the famous pages of the history of the capital.
The President of the Cetinje Parliament, Milena Vujačić, pointed out that the Day of the Capital is a special day in which the 540 years of existence of the city come together, on the foundations of which the Montenegrin flag and the Montenegrin Arch of Freedom were raised.
"Cetinje achieved its meaningful goal, it preserved the state and man as the highest value and gave it the noblest purpose and goal," said Vujačić.
She said that Cetinje preserved beauty, kindness, truth and justice in human form and through human existence.
