The editors of the M portal received new threats against her and other colleagues

Just a few hours after the former Minister of Internal Affairs, Filip Adžić, in the Parliament of Montenegro, targeted M portal and Pobjeda as media that allegedly influence the election of the director of the Police Administration of Montenegro, a new threat arrived at the email address of the editor of M portal, Danica Nikolić - that of rape - on her behalf and on behalf of her colleagues from City Television Tamara Nikčević, Bojana Dabović, Mirka Dević and RTCG Slavica Kruščić Vasović, and the chief and responsible editor of Antena M Darko Šuković and lawyer Zoran Piperović were also mentioned.
As M portal writes, Nikolić also reported this email with threats to the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, which has been investigating the death threats sent to her from the same email address since September 10, 2022.
I would like to inform you that a case has been opened at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica for the criminal offense of endangering security. The case is in the reconnaissance phase. Due to the protection of the interests of the proceedings, we cannot provide more information - Duško Milanović, the head of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, responded this morning to M Portal's question about the stage of the investigation that has been ongoing since September 10, 2022 due to the death threats addressed to their editor.
The editorial staff of the M portal has been constantly exposed to threats since the beginning of its work. Each of them, as they pointed out in the M portal, arrived immediately after the officials of the former government, led by former Prime Minister Dritan Abazović and former Minister of the Interior Filip Adžić, targeted them as alleged members, and even leaders, of a criminal clan or connected with suspicious business, together with colleagues from Pobjeda, City Television, E Television, Antena M, Portal Analitika, portal CDM...
That is why we believe that these are exclusively politically motivated attacks, the intention of which is to intimidate journalists of the Montenegrin media and prevent them from performing their duties under normal conditions - they said from the M portal.
Considering that for 16 months the ODT has been investigating who sends threats to their newsroom, despite the fact that the police did their work relatively quickly and gathered enough information, M portal will request a meeting with the authorities from the police, prosecution and executive authorities, whose obligation is to provide journalists with normal working conditions.
As in previous cases, we will inform international organizations and embassies about new threats - they added in the M portal.
