The first synagogue in Montenegro will wear the name of Gospoda - Ar Ashem

The Jewish community of Montenegro will have the opportunity to build the only missing religious object - the Synagogue, which will further contribute to the representatives of the Jewishman Dematius with Slaven Radunović, the proposee of the amendment to the construction of the first synagogue in Montenegro .

The Supreme Rabbin of Montenegro, Luciano, was welcomed by Radunović, President of the JZCG Nina Offner Bokan, as well as the President of the Assembly of JZCG Edit Klein.

The hosts used this opportunity to express a deep gratitude to Radunović for the presented support for the Jewish community in building their house.

This friendly rank towards the Jewish community will remain written and will remember forever. Starting from the Cetinje Monastery, through Husein-Pasha Mosque in Pljevlja, to the Cathedral of St. Tripun in Kotor, these sacred spaces form part of the rich religious heritage of our country - the Jewish community was announced.

The synagogue will bear the name of the Gospodness of the Lord - Ar ashem, which is associated in the name of the state of Montenegro, defines it as a sacral space.

Rabbin Elizer Papo, a great friend of our community, credited that the synagogue will wear this name - they said in the Jewish community.

Thanks to Montenegro and all members of the Committee on the Economy and Budget, the Amendment of Radunović, convinced that the investment in the synagogue, the investment is not only in our community "as a free society open for all, pluralistic and really tolerant. "

Financial support from budget reserves, which will cover part of costs, will enable, in the Jewish community, the faster implementation of the project and open the doors of cooperation between the public sector, private donors and civil society.

The synagogue, by definition, is engaged in cultural work, because it is not just a worship space, but also a cultural center in which different cultural activities such as courses, lectures, round tables, debates, concerts, exhibitions and the like. There will also a platform for promoting intercultural dialogue, connecting different communities and traditions. We, as the Jewish community of Montenegro, remain consistent with the potential to our society and we promote peace and tolerance all their activities, and we will do so in the future, and we will believe in the statement.
