The lawyer's appeals were rejected, Veljović remains in custody

Former director of the Police Administration, Veselin Veljović, had his lawyer Nikola Martinović's appeal against the detention order rejected.

The detention appeals were also rejected for Mujo Nikočević and Nikola Mrkić.

Veljović is accused of having informed Aleksandar Mrkić, who is currently on the run, that the house of Mujo Nikočević would be searched, and thus abused his official position.

Let us remind you that the officers of the Special Police Department, on the order of the Special State Prosecutor's Office and in cooperation with EUROPOL, carried out an action against persons suspected of committing criminal acts, the creation of a criminal organization, abuse of official position and smuggling. In this action, the former director of the Police Administration Veselin was arrested. Veljović, Mujo Nikočvić, as well as Nikola Mrkić, the brother of fugitive Aleksandar Mrkić, whom the police are still looking for.
