The remains of Metropolitan Antoni will soon be in the new tomb

The mortal remains of the first head of the restored, autocephalous Montenegrin Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Antonij (Abramović), will soon be transferred to the tomb that is being built next to the Church of Ivan Crnojević in Cetinje.
As Pobjeda was told by the CPC, the tomb is being built on church land, and the work is ongoing.
The clergy of the CPC consecrated the tomb, and we will inform the public in due time when the transfer of the remains of the blessedly departed Most Reverend Metropolitan Antoni will be organized - Pobjeda was told.
In the regular procedure, the CPC submitted a request to the Cetinje Municipal Company, which manages cemeteries, for approval for a plot of land for the construction of a tomb and monument to Metropolitan Antoni, and in March the approval was obtained.
Every believer and admirer of the Montenegrin Orthodox Church can pay a donation for the construction of the monument to Metropolitan Antoni to the giro account 530-467-67 NLB banka Montenegro.
Metropolitan Antonije was the first bishop of the renewed CPC, elected at the Opštecrnogorsk People's Assembly in Cetinje, Lučindan, on October 31, 1993. He died on November 18, 1996. He was buried at the New Cemetery in Cetinje.
