The SDT will file an appeal against the termination of Medenica's detention

The Special State Prosecutor's Office will file an appeal with the Court of Appeal against the decision of the panel of the High Court in Podgorica, which rejected the proposal to extend the detention of the former President of the Supreme Court, Vesna Medenica, after the indictment was filed. This was announced by SDT spokesman Vukas Radonjić for the Public Service
Former President of the Supreme Court Vesna Medenica's detention was terminated yesterday, said her lawyer Zdravko Begović.
The decision to cancel detention was made by the High Court after the defense appealed to the Court of Appeals against the previous decision that extended her stay in the Investigation Prison.
Medenica is accused by the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) of having committed criminal acts of creating a criminal organization and illegal influence.
The former president of the Supreme Court of Montenegro was arrested on April 17 of this year, at Podgorica Airport.
At that time, she was suspected of participating in a criminal group led by her son Miloš Medenica.
