The search for the missing boy in Herceg Novi continues in the morning

Divers of the Regional Center suspended the underwater search for the boy who was pulled by the waves last night near Vojnički spa. The search continued along the coast from Meljin to Njivica, and volunteers were engaged in the area of Luštica.

The head of the Diver Training Center, Danilo Mijajlović, said that the underwater search, which was interrupted due to poor visibility and rough seas, will continue tomorrow at 9 a.m. One team of divers will remain with members of other services on the ground.

According to the information of the head of the Protection and Rescue Service, Zlatko Ćirović, the helicopter of the Army of Montenegro, if weather conditions permit, will join the search for suras at 9 am.

I am in constant communication with the pilots of the Army of Montenegro and around 14:00 they informed me that they will not take off today and if the weather conditions are favorable, they should be in the territory of Herzegnov municipality around 9:00 tomorrow. One team of the Protection Service is constantly at the location where the waves pulled the boy, and the others with members of the police are searching the coast from Meljin to Njivica. We hired volunteers from Luštica and they tour the field from Mali to Veliki Ros and Dobreč - said Ćirović.

The event was reported to the Basic and Higher State Prosecutor in Podgorica. Reconnaissance measures and actions are ongoing.
