The Supreme Court rejected the review requested by RTCG: Raonic illegally appointed in August 2021.

The Supreme Court of Montenegro rejected the review of the decision of the High Court according to which the General Director of the Radio Television of Montenegro (RTCG) Boris Raonic was illegally appointed to that position in August 2021.
The revision was requested by RTCG, and the Supreme Court rejected it as unfounded, reports Vijesti.
The decision of the Supreme Court states, among other things, that the Commission of the RTCG for the evaluation of submitted applications for the then competition assessed that the candidates Milutin Stijepović, Nikola Marković, Srđan Čović and Raonić meet the conditions of the announced competition.
"... and that their applications are complete and timely, after which the interviewing procedure was carried out at the next session of the RTCG Council and the voting and appointment began... Therefore, the defendant (RTCG), who himself submitted the applications of these candidates, including the plaintiff (Nikola Marković) assessed as complete and orderly in this legal situation, in court proceedings it cannot be successfully emphasized. Therefore, as the defendant accepted the plaintiff as a participant in the competition, that he fulfills all the conditions stipulated by the competition... so his application was assessed as complete and entered the prescribed procedure, without affecting a different decision, the defendant's revision states that the plaintiff cannot successfully challenge the selection decision in question because he does not meet the prescribed conditions for the said competition," the Supreme Court's judgment states, among other things.
The re-election of Raonic as head of the RTCG despite the final verdict of the High Court is also being investigated by the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT).
The SDT was waiting for the decision of the Supreme Court and the Basic Court in Podgorica on the election of Raonic, in order to decide on the criminal charges against him, certain members of the Council, the lawyer of the media company and the head of the legal department.
