There is no revisionism or alternative to the European and anti-fascist path

Damir Šehović, the leader of the Social Democrats (SD), on the occasion of Europe Day and Victory Day, said that today the world is celebrating one of the most famous and important dates, the Day of Victory over Fascism, with the aim of reminding the millions of victims of a terrible ideology, and therefore the fact that the question of ideology is actually a question of elementary values on which the individual, politics and the state rest.
This day also reminds us that the truth long ago drew a line between those who were on the right and those who were on the wrong side of history. Not allowing that line to be blurred, criminal actions and ideologies to experience revisionism, and individuals to be rehabilitated, is a matter of personal honor, as well as understanding the practical dangers of such attacks on history - said Šehović.
As he said, precisely on the idea of unity around true values instead of division, we are welcoming another most important date, Europe Day. Schuman's declaration showed the world the wisdom of economic and other forms of rapprochement, as a superior policy compared to disuniting, violent and reteograding.
The superiority of that policy must now be especially reminded of Montenegro, which is being convinced at every step of alternatives to the European path, which has no alternative. Therefore, we must resist attacks on our key foreign policy priorities, which will especially strengthen in the coming period - he said.
That's why I congratulate the citizens of Montenegro on Victory Day and Europe Day, which should be a reason for celebration, but also a kind of warning - concluded Šehović.
