Today is a Christmas day

Orthodox believers in Montenegro today celebrate Christmas Day, which announces the most joyous Christian holiday, Christmas - the birth of the Son of God Jesus Christ.
The Christmas day was named after the Christmas tree, which, according to ancient custom, with the first base, brought to the home with a special ritual. Christmas Eve is a young oak or a cherry tree.
Christmas Eve is a symbol of wood, which, according to the advocacy, brought the shepherds to Joseph and Mary to pledge fire and heat the cave in which Jesus was born.
The Christmas Eve fell on the eve of the holidays and burned until Christmas, when the joy of Christ's birth is published.
On the eve of Christmas, straw sprinkles the floor, and the homes are converted to the Vitlei cave where Jesus Christ was born, which was wrapped in straw and to whom the shepherds first bowed.
In the farm houses, the straw lies for three days, while in cities in the homes a bundle of straw is brought in with Christmas Eve. The houses sprinkle with grain.
The Christmas Eve is a family holiday when the households gather around the mandatory teaspoons.
Christmas day and evening January celebrates all the Orthodox churches and believers respecting the Julian calendar - the Russian Orthodox Church, the Patriarch of Jerusalem, Sveta Gora, the Old Calendars in Greece and Egyptian Kopti.
This year, the believers of the Montenegrin Orthodox Church will mark the Christmas day and evening under the open sky instead of in the temples that their ancestors have been built, a full life under the occupation of the church of Serbia. CPC Christmas Eve believers will find in several Montenegrin cities. At 3 pm at the court Square on Cetinje, at 5 pm in Bari, Kotor and Niksic, and at 7 pm in Podgorica.
