Ultimatum to the minority parties: If you want to join the government, reject the principles and break up with the DPS

AUTHOR: M.J.
In the midst of negotiations on the reconstruction of the Government and the participation of the Bosniak Party in the new composition of Spajić's Government, the joint statement of the parties that make up the parliamentary majority is an obvious ultimatum to the majority parties that, if they want to be in the executive power, they must first terminate cooperation with the Democratic Party of Socialists.
According to information from the ETV Portal, this political move was insisted on by the Democrats of Alekse Bečić, who oppose the entry of the Bosniak Party as long as there is a local coalition of that party with the DPS in Bijelo Polje and Gusinje. Also, the Democrats believe that minority parties should break up their coalitions in both Ulcinj and Bar.
According to the joint statement sent, on behalf of the parliamentary majority, from the Democratic Party of Montenegro - the Europe Now Movement, the New Serbian Democracy, the Democrats, the Democratic People's Party and the Socialist People's Party - they agree that the parties that form or will form the 44th Government of Montenegro they have to "reconsider the coalition cooperation with the leading parliamentary opposition at all levels".
- Otherwise, this parliamentary majority will end cooperation with the parties that form the government with the leading parliamentary opposition - it was stated in the announcement, noting that the Bosniak and other minority parties "should do this by the adoption of the budget for 2025 at the latest".
As a reminder, the TV E portal announced that the Bosniak Party of Ervin Ibrahimović has in principle accepted the offer to enter the reconstructed Government of Milojko Spajić and to share the portfolios of the executive power with the politically opposed parties New Serbian Democracy of Andrija Mandić, the Democratic People's Party of Milan Knežević, as well as the Democrats of Alekse Bečić .
On the other hand, according to the knowledge of Antena M, the session of the Main Board of the Bosniak Party, the body that decides on the possible entry of that party into the government, has not been scheduled until this moment.
According to the sources of Portal ETV, the top of the Bosniak Party was quite surprised by the public ultimatum they received from the Democrats and other members of the parliamentary majority, so during the day they tried to make an agreement directly with Prime Minister Milojko Spajić in order to make an agreement that would not be an introduction in the internal disputes of Ervin Ibrahimović's party.
Informed sources from the parliamentary majority, after these latest political turbulences, believe that there is still a chance to reach an agreement with the Bosniac Party by Tuesday, and to postpone the eventual termination of cooperation with the DPS until the fall, when the talk of the budget for 2025 begins and "When will there be talk about the adoption of the Europe Now 2 program"
It was confirmed to Antena M that the president of BS Ervin Ibrahimović and Prime Minister Milojko Spajić had intensive discussions on this topic in recent days.
The entrance of the BS into the executive power is complicated by the demands of the Democrats that the Bosniaks dissolve the coalitions at the municipal level with the DPS and other sovereignist parties if they want to become part of the government at the state level. That is why the joint statement sent from the media pool of the Democratic Montenegro of Alekse Bečić was broadcast today.
As we learn, the Main Board of the Bosniak Party will discuss tomorrow the participation in the Government of Milojko Spajić. By entering that Government, the Bosniak Party will be in a coalition with pro-Russian and pro-Serb parties, which celebrate war criminals as heroes and do not recognize the genocide in Srebrenica.
