We continue to strengthen relations with the institutions of Croatia - said the president of the Croatian Civic Initiative, Adrijan Vuksanović, who is visiting the Osijek-Baranja County today with the president of the Croatian National Council of Montenegro, Zvonimir Deković.
As announced by HGI, they had talks with Mata Lukić, the deputy prefect, who holds the office of the first man of the County, with Josip Miletić, as well as with other representatives of the political and social life of Slavonia and Baranja.
Vuksanović expressed his satisfaction with the extremely good relations that were established during the time of the until recently prefect, and the current Vice President of the Government of the Republic of Croatia and Minister of Defense Ivan Anušić, and continued during the mandate of Mata Lukić.
- The special importance of strengthened unity comes to the fore at a time when Croats in Montenegro are going through new demanding moments in which the European perspective of Montenegro, for which the Croatian civic initiative has been committed since its beginnings, since 2002, is being questioned and tempted. The support of the Government of the Republic of Croatia to the Croats in Montenegro is a strength for the numerically small, but valuable in every sense, Croatian community, which, after success in the last parliamentary elections, is even more intensively fighting for the values that are precious for the survival of the Croats in Montenegro and the Montenegrin path towards the European Union. union - it is stated in the announcement of HGI.
Vuksanović thanked Ivan Anušić who, as he said, brought them together a few years ago.
- Here in the heart of proud Slavonia and to his valuable collaborators, Mat Lukić and Josip Miletić, continuing our cooperation, which is reflected in spiritual closeness and concrete actions - said Vuksanović in a statement to the media.
The president of HNVCG - a Zvonimir Deković said that he will always respond to such meetings that demonstrate Croatian unity and strengthen closeness among Croats wherever they live. The institution headed by him affirms cultural activity with the aim of nurturing heritage and presenting it to the world.
