"We will keep good practices and establish new ones"

AUTHOR: M.J.
We have to change the way we act, because the opportunities in society are also changing. We will keep good practices and establish new ones, Danijel Živković, candidate for president of the Democratic Party of Socialists of Montenegro, pointed out at tonight's forum in Podgorica.
"I see that we are waking up collectively, which is very encouraging. We have to work, there are no excuses, if we want to move forward, we all have to move forward. And tonight's forum showed that we are together, that we are in agreement and that we know what needs to be done. We are starting from our home, "Let's restore order and move forward. We will no longer tolerate injustice and we will not respect one another by humiliating others," Živković announced.
"To reform and overthrow the current government is our goal. But it is not the purpose. The purpose of fulfilling such a goal is the responsible, serious and dedicated leadership of the Democratic Party of Socialists and our country," Živković said in the continuation of his presentation.
"There is no progress in this country without the Democratic Party of Socialists, without our program, and our course that brought independence, membership in NATO and brought it into the EU for such a short time," Živković pointed out.
Speaking about the plan for further reorganization of the Democratic Party of Socialists, Živković announced that, after the elections on January 28, there is no stopping.
"We are immediately starting to prepare for the immediate elections of municipal board presidents, and then the preparation of the Congress, which should bring about the election of the new Main Board, the election of the new Presidency and other key teams that are important for laying quality foundations for the work and development of the party close to the citizens", he informed is he.
Presenting the basics of the program, Živković informed the members that the program's focus is clear: education, better medical care, social issues, economic policy and the rule of law.
"No program will be finalized without prior consultation with our membership. We all decide together," emphasized Živković.
Our main task is to maintain the concept of the civic state of Montenegro, with all those who share such values.
"Montenegro is above all of us, we have to look after it and protect it, with the power of mind and work", concluded Živković.
Interparty direct elections, which are being held for the first time in the history of Montenegrin multi-partyism, are organized by the Democratic Party of Socialists on January 28, when the membership will elect the president and four vice-presidents of the party, the announcement reads.
