Civil activists and journalists wrote to the Balkan Research Network (BIRN) requesting that their names be removed from the database "Mapping Extremist Groups in the Region", carried out as part of the regional research "Far Right Extremism in the Balkans: Groups, Trends and Political Support".
"By publishing our names as members of far-right and extremist organizations, you damaged our reputation, personal and professional credibility, threatened our safety and that of our families, and defamed us. Who we are and what values ​​we stand for, you have heard enough from eminent people from the entire region, even panelists who participated in the conference you organized on November 16 and 17 in Sarajevo, where you presented the "research" and the map. , it is stated in the announcement.
They also requested a public apology.
