At least 16 firefighters and civilians were injured in three forest fires that engulfed southern California, in the US, and firefighters made progress in fighting the fire thanks to cooler weather in the area, reports CBS News.
Fire Chief Don Fregila said Saturday that nearly 2,500 firefighters are fighting the fire on fire lines.
California's wildfire season has yet to begin, and the US state has burned nearly three times as much land so far this year than it did in all of 2023, when there was more moisture.
