It is in the exclusive competence of the Croatian authorities when it comes to deciding on persons who may or may not enter the territory of Croatia, Antena M from the office of the spokesperson of the European Commission was informed.
After the Government of the Republic of Croatia decided to ban the entry of the President of the Parliament of Montenegro Andrija Mandić, Deputy Prime Minister Aleksa Bečić and the President of the DNP, MP Milan Knežević, the EC also asked:
- Bearing in mind that Croatia is a member of the EU, as well as a member of Schengen, does this ban also apply to the entire EU/Schengen territory?
From the Office of the European Commission, however, we did not receive a concrete answer to that question.
