The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, said that ten days ago he received an invitation from the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, to join the BRICS summit, which is being held from October 22 to 24 in Kazan, but he stated that then he will have important guests from abroad. .
"We have a lot of important visits, as the kids say - a crowd in the penalty area." Thanks to the BRICS people for the invitation and to President Putin. We also have New York, and I already know that I will have talks with at least six presidents and at least seven or eight prime ministers on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session," Vučić told reporters.
He also stated that Belgrade is celebrating 80 years since its liberation on October 20, adding that numerous programs and plans will be organized then.
"Don't forget that the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belgrade is on October 20 and it was the Red Army that, for the most part, with the help of our troops, liberated Belgrade and brought freedom to our country together with Russia and everyone else who participated in the liberation," said Vučić .
