Montenegro will have a representative at Eurovision, a competition announced

After a two-year break, Montenegro will have its representative in Eurovision in 2025. RTCG announces a public competition for the selection of composition for representatives of Montenegro and RTCG at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 International competition.

In order to develop and improve music creation in the field of popular music, the public media service of RTCG is organized by the selection of Montenegrin representatives for the International Competition "Eurovision Song Contest 2025" in Switzerland, organized by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) .

The selection of compositions that will represent Montenegro and RTCG in the "Eurovision Song, 2025" competition, ie the festival called "Montesong 2024".

On the selection of compositions that will represent Montenegro and RTCG in the "Eurovision Song, the votes of the professional jury, composed of eminent music and media creators, as well as representatives of citizens who are engaged in the eurovision monitoring, and from the other Foreign votes of the audience, ie citizens of Montenegro. The ratio of votes is determined according to the Eurovision Principle - 50% jury and 50% audience (ie about 50% due to rounding the number in percentages).

The composition that in the sum has the largest number of votes from the professional jury and the audience will be a representative of Montenegro and RTCG in the "Eurovision Song 2025" competition.

Montenegro was last participating in Eurovision in 2022, when it was Vulja Vucinic with the Breath's song. The next two years, Montenegro did not send its representative due to high costs.

Montenegro recorded 12 performances on the Eurovision.

The placement in the finals generated by Sergej Ćetković (2014, Copenhagen) and Nenad Knežević Knez (2015, Vienna).
