The 12th edition of Lake Fest: Generational, together with Bijelo Dugme, was opened in Nikšić

This year, the 12th edition of the Lake Fest event began on Friday evening, at Lake Krupac in Nikšić, and a large audience had the opportunity to attend the performances of performers from the region and Europe.
The program was opened by Hungry Scientists, followed by the performances of Tribute Idoli, Bijelo Dugme, Berkovi and at the end of the evening, DJ Tom Novi.
The performance of the Tribute Idoli band showed that people live through music, and that it protects them from oblivion. Guitarist Zdenko Kolar has played in Nikšić several times, and his intention is that everything Vlada Divljan was and did will continue to be present, wherever there are people to hear his music.
The promise I made to the Government is that I will play and sing those songs as long as I can. That is my debt to him, to our friendship and community. Those songs deserve to be played on big stages like this one. To experience this kind of ovation, like in Nikšić. Not a day goes by when I don't think of Vlad, only one wall separated us - said Kolar.
As he said, he does not like the English term "tribute".
But it is important for the audience to hear the same songs in a different way, to extend their lifespan - said Kolar.
And, the largest audience, generationally diverse, was gathered by the performance of Bijeli Dugmet. The concert in Nikšić, as Alen Islamović said, is to some extent a prelude for the following year, in which the half century of the band's existence is celebrated.
For the past ten years, it has been happening that there are a lot of young people at the performances. We are proud when we see young people singing our songs, especially old tracks. There is no musician for whom this is not the most important thing - said Islamović.
Lake fest, as he said, is regionally known and he is glad that he also had the opportunity to get to know it.
Many people come here, visit, so far it has gathered a large number of groups. Bijelo Dugme had the power to make our songs, which were mostly written by Goran, last, live for so many years, to be passed down from generation to generation. Unbelievable, but my grandchildren also sing those songs, and they are five or six years old - said Islamović.
Although many things have changed during the past decades, at the performances of Bijeli Dugmet, as Islamović said, everything is completely identical.
We live now, in this time, what was, was. This is a new era, we enjoy concerts, and I don't notice any difference between this audience and people who attended our performances in the 80's or 90's of the last century. It's the same enthusiasm, the same atmosphere - said Islamović.
After Bijeli Dugmet, DJ Tom Novi performed and kept the audience near Krupački jezera on their feet until the early hours of the morning.
Tonight, the second night of the festival will be opened by the Nikšić band Pancreas, and after them the audience will have the opportunity to hear the Yu group, Partibrejkerse, Kerber and Mahmut Orhan. On the last night of the festival, the program will start with the performance of Električni Orgasm, followed by Smak plus, Vojko V, Zoster and James Zabiela.
