Blinken: The US will act as necessary regarding the murder of an American citizen

AUTHOR: M.J.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken says the US "regrets" the death of US citizen Aysenur Eygi in the occupied West Bank and says it will "act as necessary" to find out what happened.
Israeli forces shot Eygia (26) in the head in the town of Beita, near Nablus, during a protest against the illegal expansion of Israeli settlements.
Asked if the United States would take action against Israel, Blinken said: "First, let's find out exactly what happened and draw the necessary conclusions and consequences."
Earlier, the White House said in a statement that it was "deeply troubled" by the murder of an American citizen. Palestinian doctors say the activist, who was of Turkish origin, was shot in the head and later died in hospital.
