The postponed appeal hearing in the trial of Trump will be after the election

AUTHOR: M.J.
New York judge Juan Mercan approved the postponement of Donald Trump's appeal hearing until after the presidential election in which he is participating, so it will be held on November 26, a few weeks after the last votes are cast in the ballot boxes.
It gave the Republican presidential candidate some relief while simultaneously campaigning and dealing with the fallout from a first-instance court ruling charging him with paying porn star Stormi Daniels to keep quiet about their extramarital sex affair when he was first running for president.
With that verdict, he became the first former US president to be convicted of a crime.
Regarding the request to acquit Trump based on the decision of the US Supreme Court on presidential immunity, Judge Mercan scheduled the decision on this matter for November 12, also after the presidential elections.
On Tuesday, a federal court rejected a request by Trump's lawyers to remove the case from Judge Mercan and the New York state court and transfer the trial to the federal level.
If that transfer had succeeded, Trump's lawyers would have sought to have the case dismissed on the grounds of presidential immunity.
Trump, who at the time of the case for which he was found guilty, was not yet the president of the United States, appealed the decision of the federal court.
