Trump does not want to debate Harris until she is a formal candidate

AUTHOR: M.J.
US former president and Republican candidate in the upcoming elections in November Donald Trump does not want a debate with the likely Democratic candidate Kamala Harris until it becomes official.
Trump considers it "inappropriate" to debate Harris until the Democratic Party officially names her as its nominee for the US presidential election in November, the Republican campaign team said.
"It would be inappropriate to do anything with Harris because the Democrats could very easily change their minds," said a statement from Donald Trump's team, after Harris, a strong favorite to replace Joseph Biden after he withdrew from the campaign, said she was ready for a debate.
The former Republican president arranged two debates with Biden before the presidential election in November - July 27 and September 10.
But the outgoing president's disastrous performance during the first televised contest forced Biden to abandon his bid for a second term on Sunday, after weeks of calls to drop out of the race over concerns about his physical and mental health.
After that, his running mate Kamala Harris took up the torch and launched her campaign, now with broad support among Democrats.
Although a heavy favorite, she has not yet been officially named the Democratic candidate for the November election.
"Whatever happened to 'anytime, anywhere,'" wrote Kamala Harris on X, referring to the line Trump used when inviting Biden to a debate in March.
